Student Spotlight: Hannah Stimer

Savanna Gamet, Staff Writer

Golf season is wrapping up and now is a valuable time to shine some individual light on Sophomore player Hannah Stimer for qualifying for states last weekend.

Hannah is an outstanding student-athlete in general, but she is extremely talented when it comes to playing golf.

Despite the weather not being in her favor last weekend, Stimer explains the better parts of her experience, “I enjoyed playing with the girls I was paired with. It was a very cool experience and I am very glad I had the opportunity to go to states as a sophomore because now that I have experienced what it’s like it will be less stressful when we accomplish our team goal of making states as a team in the upcoming seasons. I really appreciate all of the support from everyone and I was happy to represent our school.”

Her coach and teammates are beyond proud of how she played this season; in particular, senior Faith Moore implies that “I would say that overall as I have watched her grow up she is an amazing person and her parents raised her very well shes absolutely the most selfless, delightful, beautiful person I have ever met and the best teammate. She definitely works hard for what she has achieved and I am so proud of her.”

Coach Bauman adds in, “Hannah Stimer worked extremely hard on her swing this season as well as her short game.  It was great to see it pay off with a successful season, earning all-conference honors and a trip to the state meet as well as improved scores throughout the season.”

With all being said, we can’t wait to see Hannah shine in future golf seasons.
