Donate today; save a life tomorrow!
The CHS National Honor Society has set up a blood drive event that will take place on October 24, 2022, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. Sign-ups are ONLINE ONLY and are available via the link below and QR code on the flyer. Donors must be 16 years old or older to donate, and parent permission slips are REQUIRED if you are 16. A form of identification is required to donate, accepted forms of ID are school IDs, driver’s licenses, or a state-issued ID. Athletes can donate blood as well, as long as they only have practice that day. The most important thing to remember is… EAT BREAKFAST!
The members of NHS would especially like to invite members of the Concord community to participate in the blood drive. This additional participation would greatly increase the success of the event.
Donating blood can have a number of benefits for one’s health, such as burning calories, it can improve heart health, but most importantly, it benefits others the most. Just one blood donation can save up to three lives, whereas having a large group of donors can potentially save hundreds of lives.
