All the 2026 seniors had the option to pay $10 if they wanted to paint their own personal parking spot, making the parking lot more lively and colorful. Every day for one week during the 7th hour, all the seniors who paid were dismissed to the parking lot to start working. All the money is going directly to the senior class account to pay for end-of-year activities such as the senior luncheon. All seniors had to purchase their own paint and supplies.

With all the different designs, a couple stood out more than the others. We asked senior Jaylin Knoblett what her inspiration was for choosing her design for her parking spot. She told us, “I was going through Pinterest and saw a duo one and ended up wanting to do it with Emma Burbo.” Jaylin and Emma were the only ones to do a duel parking spot with each other.
Other seniors like Macy Sinden said, “I chose to do camo because I like hunting.”
We asked senior Lily Vandenburgh, “What advice would you give to the juniors when it’s their turn?” Vandenburgh replied, “Make sure to buy more paint than you think you will need.” This serves as a warning for all juniors about what to expect next year!
Every senior appreciated the opportunity not only to paint a personal parking spot but also to express themselves through creative art of their choice. You can only be a senior once, so take every chance to do something fun. The ones who took this opportunity most definitely do not regret it and will carry that memory with them for the rest of their lives.
