The buzzer sounds as the boys file into the locker room for halftime, the crowd buzzing with excitement. As the nominees walk onto the field, the excitement only increases as they await the announcement of the winner.

The previous year’s homecoming king crowned the winner tonight. The crowd roared excitedly as the sash went over Tylend Allen’s head. When interviewed, he explained how his two older brothers won homecoming king their senior year as well. This was an extremely special moment for Allen and his supporters.
When his mother, Tocarra Gaddis, was interviewed, she exclaimed how proud she is of her son Tylend. This was an extremely important moment for her to “see her baby shining in the spotlight”.
Next up was Hannah Stimer, the Homecoming queen of 2024, coming back to CHS with the honor of crowning new royalty. She hovered the sash over the heads of the nominees, creating a rumble of anticipating whispers as they waited for the sash to drop. When Emma Burbo was crowned, cheers erupted from the crowd for our 2025 Homecoming queen.
Burbo expresses her excitement by mentioning, ¨It shows me that a lot of people at our school enjoy having me around and see me as someone who represents the school well.¨ When Burbo is asked about her supporters, she wants to give a big thanks to her family and friends, especially her mom, for being with her through it all.
