It’s that time once again! Last week, representatives were chosen by each grade to walk across the football field. We are proud to introduce to you the Homecoming court for 2025!
Beginning with the freshman, Peyton Payne, is the son of Jennifor, Mick, and Donoven. He is a member of the high school golf, football, and wrestling teams. His favorite class is Biology with Mrs. Fiero. Some of his hobbies include fishing and hunting.
Next, for the freshman, the female representative chosen was Audrey Rinehart. She is the daughter of Heidi Rinehart. She is a member of the cross-country team, and she plans to play softball and run track later in the year. Rinehart is also a member of the youth group at First Baptist Church. Her two favorite classes are Health with Mrs. Sigman and Art with Mr. Couling. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her family and friends. She was thrilled to be chosen, explaining, “I was not expecting to be picked; I honestly thought someone else would. When I won, I was excited to get to experience something new.”
For the sophomores, Austin Taylor was chosen. He is the son of Stacy Taylor and Teddy McVay. He plays for the football and basketball teams. Of all the classes on his schedule, his favorites are Honors Chemistry with Mrs. Colangelo and Honors History with Ms. Taylor. When he is not busy with school, he is playing games and hanging out with his girlfriend, Delaney.
The female sophomore candidate is Delaney Colburn. She is the daughter of Abbey and Jeff Colburn. She is a valuable member of the volleyball and basketball teams at CHS. She is also a part of many honors classes: Honors English, Honors History, and Honors Chemistry. Her two favorite classes are Art with Mr. Couling and Chemistry with Mrs. Colangelo. Outside of school, she enjoys painting and talking to people. She explains what the title of being a representative means to her: “I feel very honored to be able to represent my class and am just very excited.”
Now for the junior representatives. Adam Miller is the son of Dawn and Jeff Miller. He is a valuable participant on the varsity football and baseball teams. His favorite class is Global Current Events with Jurr. His favorite activities consist of playing golf, watching sports, and hanging out with the boys.
This year’s female junior representative is Reagan Mehl. Mehl is the daughter of Heather and Aaron Mehl. She is a three-sport athlete, playing on the varsity volleyball, basketball, and softball teams. She is also a member of the youth group at her church. Her two favorite classes this year are Multimedia Publications with Ms. Kelly and Global Current Events with Jurr. Some of her many hobbies include spending time with her friends, spending time with family, and traveling.
Now, introducing our king and queen candidates:
The first male candidate is Tylend Allen. He is the son of Toccara and Chris Gaddis. He has been a member of the Blazers Track Club for the past 4 years and on the track and field team at Concord for 4 years. He is the treasurer for NHS, a volunteer for the “There’s Enough” non-profit group, and a 9X all-stater in track and field. His favorite class this year is Global Current Events with Jurr. In his free time, he enjoys working and updating his Instagram feed. After high school, he will go on to study political science with plans to attend law school afterward.
Walking with Allen is Jaylin Knoblett. She is the daughter of Amber and Ross Knoblett. She is very active in the school community as the president of NHS and the public relations officer of the student council. Of all her classes this year, her favorite is Leadership with Mrs. O. Knoblett’s hobbies consist of hanging out with friends and working. Next year, she is hoping to attend the University of Michigan to study pre-med. Knoblett shares her reaction after finding out she was nominated: “I was very happy and very excited. I was even more excited when I found out all my friends were on, so we could experience it together.”
Next is Brady Garrett, the son of Nichole Austin and Henry Garrett. He is an active member of the varsity basketball team. His favorite class is Leadership with Mrs. O. When he is not in school, he enjoys playing golf, basketball, spending time with his Lilie, and hanging out with Gavin and Jett. His post-high-school plans include becoming a heavy machinery operator.
His partner is Lilieana Vandenburgh. She is the daughter of Veronica and Bob Vandenburgh. She plays on the varsity volleyball team and is a member of the student council and NHS. Her favorite class this year is Leadership with Mrs. O. Some of her hobbies include hanging out with Brady and doing things with her family. Next year, she wants to go to Spring Arbor University to study early childhood education. Vandenburgh expresses how she hopes to represent her class while on court: “My biggest goal is to show school spirit, include everyone, and support the football team.”
The third male representative is Nate Fritz. He is Becky and Andy Fritz’s son. He is very involved in sports as a member of the varsity football, wrestling, and baseball teams. Fritz also attends the career center as a part of the JROTC program. Of the few classes he has here, Fritz’s favorite is Strength and Conditioning with Mrs. Sigman. He enjoys riding his dirtbike and working on cars/ trucks. His college plans are to attend baseball and to become a lineman.
Paired with him is Mina Slone, the daughter of Natalie and William Slone. She is a very involved member of both the NHS and the student council. Of her classes, her favorites are Human Body Systems with Mrs. Fiero and Leadership with Mrs. O. Her hobbies include shopping and spending time with friends and family, specifically Zoey. After graduation, she plans to go to college to study biology to later work in the medical field. She shares the most exciting part of court for her: “I think it will be exciting to be on court all dressed up with my friends.”
Next is Trenton Frazer. He is the son of Cassie and Nathan Frazer. He has been a member of the football, basketball, and track teams for the past four years. He is also a member of the NHS, as well as a very active member in his church. His favorite class is Art with Mr. Couling. Frazer has a lot of hobbies, a few include fishing, hunting, doing art, playing card games, watching TV, playing video games, hiking, and spending time with his family. In the future, he plans to look into electrical fields. Being on the field for both the game and court is an exciting experience. Frazer says, “I think that doing both will add to all of the excitement. I have never been on court this year, so it’s fun to be involved with everything.”
Walking with Frazer is Emma Burbo. She is Jen and Sean Burbo’s daughter. She has been a member of the varsity volleyball team for the past four years, also participating in flight volleyball. She is an active participant as a member of the NHS and the student council. Her best classes include Senior Art with Mr. Counseling and Leadership with Mrs. O. She enjoys hanging out with her friends, getting food, baking, and shopping. Next year, she plans to attend college to study cardiac sonography.
Lastly, our final male representative is Isaac Krieger. He is the son of Ashley and Josh Krieger. He plays for the varsity football team and runs for the track team. His current favorite class is Art with Mr. Couling. Outside of school, he enjoys golfing and hanging out with his friends. His future plans are to either attend college or a trade school to become an auto mechanic.
Paired with Krieger is Macy Sinden. She is the daughter of Brianne and Steve Sinden. Sinden also plays for the varsity volleyball team. She is a very involved person in many clubs, both in and out of school. These include the NHS, the student council, the Concord Contenders 4-H club, and MICA Volleyball. His favorite class this year is Spanish with Mr. Saucedo. When she is not busy with school and clubs, she enjoys showing animals, shopping, and working at her family’s flower shop. Next year, she will be attending college to become an ultrasound technician. When asked what winning homecoming queen would mean to her, Sinden responded, “It would be really meaningful to me because it would show me that my classmates view me as someone who represents our school with spirit and kindness.”
