This week, we are shining the spotlight on our one and only Nate Fritz. Whether it’s his excellence on the sports fields or just going around the school making people laugh and feel welcome, Fritz comes with it all and shows us what it truly means to be a Concord student, which is why we are honored to shine a light on him this week.
Fritz has been attending Concord since kindergarten. In his free time, Fritz enjoys being outside, riding dirt bikes, fishing, and playing baseball. Fritz shares what he wants in life during his last year of high school. He explains, “ I wanna enjoy every part of senior year, and I also wanna win a state championship for baseball.” Out of all the memories Fritz has had over the years, his favorite one goes back to sophomore year: “Winning districts was probably my favorite memory, it was a lot of fun, and I got to do it with people I really enjoyed being around.” The varsity baseball coach, Scott Chase, shares a few things about Fritz. He shares, “Nate is a hard worker who has a huge upside and full potential to become an outstanding athlete at the next level. I’m looking forward to his leadership roles during Nate’s senior year.”
Danni Fritz, Nate’s sister, is also very proud of him. She shares, “Nate is a super genuine person; he always sees the good in people even if they don’t deserve it. Nate is just himself. He doesn’t care what anybody thinks ever, and he is, overall, a hilarious person. I’m glad we are only a year apart because he is like my built-in best friend.”
During high school, Fritz participated in many sports: wrestling, football, and baseball. Baseball is his favorite sport. When asked why, he shares. “ I get to spend time with friends, and you can never really get bored. Every practice you can always improve and get better, and Coach Chase is a really good coach for us, and that’s why it’s my favorite sport.”
After high school, Fritz plans on going to Lineman school. Still undecided about where he’s going for it, he thinks either Jackson College or out of state.
Though he’s been here since Kindergarten, he will miss his friends. One of the many friends he has is Gavin Riske. Riske shares, “ Nate is a very outgoing person. He masters everything he is supposed to do. And he is also a very solid friend, and that is why I really like him.”
Nate is a truly special person, and we are deeply blessed to have had him with us for the last four years. Thank you, Nate, for your outgoing and kind personality, and we wish you the best of luck wherever the future brings you.
