This Friday, on March 6, everyone at CHS participated in this year’s Surprise and Delight. Students had the option of staying at school, going bowling, going to the movies, or skating.
Skating was held at Allskate in Jackson, and bowling was held at Jax 10 in Jackson. While skating and bowling, students participated in laser tag, arcade games, and enjoyed the food.
Senior Danni Fritz, who went bowling, explains, “My favorite part was the fact that you could go to the arcade because a lot of people didn’t bowl, they just went to the arcade.” Everyone was able to bring their own money to purchase their own food and tickets for the arcade.
Many students already knew how to skate. However, others bravely went out on the floor to experience a new activity. Senior Mason Davis, who went skating, shares, “I went skating because I’ve been asking [to go] since I was young, and I wanted to, so I went skating.”
Sophomore and fellow Chronicle member Lucy Otto, who went to the movies, shares, “ For next year’s surprise and delight, I would like to go to the zoo or a trampoline park. I personally have not been to the zoo for years, but I enjoy going, and I think others would, too. I also think that the trampoline park would be really popular. The only thing is, I’m not sure there’s one around here.”
Thank you to all the students who participated, especially to Mr.Couling for organizing the fun afternoon for all our students.
