Cheerful, authentic, caring, and a hard worker: Dustin Hamilton is the recipient of our senior spotlight this week. Hamilton is in both NHS and student council, attends all of the girls’ basketball games, served as an assistant varsity volleyball coach, is on a boys’ volleyball team, and participated in cross country. Hamilton has been a great member of the community, attending Concord since kindergarten.
Hamilton, preparing for his future, just recently committed to play baseball for Spring Arbor University. He explained that he feels, “Very excited, I am really excited for my future there and overall good time.”
After high school Hamilton is attending Spring Arbor University, he feels this is his biggest accomplishment committing to Spring Arbor University, where he is going to further his future in baseball. Hamilton is a hard worker, and with all of Hamilton’s success, his only regret is not doing more than one sport up until senior year.
Riley Aiken, being one of Hamilton’s friends, would describe him in one sentence as “someone who is kind-hearted, forgiving, and a good person overall.” Aiken and Hamilton have been friends for a while, but recently during junior year they became closer and became really good friends. Aiken’s favorite quality about Hamilton is “he is accepting about everyone, anyone could go up and talk to him there’s no social hierachy.”

Lleyton Bauman, Hamilton’s friend since kindergarten, says Hamilton is a very caring friend. The qualities that make Hamilton so likeable are “very hard working and has a lot of passion for his sports.”, Bauman explained.
Many students have teachers influence them at CHS. Hamiltion explains that for him, “Mrs. Sigman [is that teacher] because one I think she is just a great person and two she understands what I want to do with my future, and she can help me, starting from sophomore year.”
Mrs. Sigman loves having Hamilton as a student. She explains his behaviors as a student, “He is dedicated, always gives 110%, always willing to do above and beyond, he is a joy to have in class.”

Not only are Hamilton’s friends and teachers proud of him, but Hamilton’s parents Don and Tina Hamilton wanted to share that “Whether on the field or in the classroom, Dustin always gives 110% and prides myself on his strong character. We are extremely proud of him!”
Hamilton is an asset to CHS and a wonderful student. He gets a lot of recognition for his hard work, which he deserves. We wish him all the best at Spring Arbor University during the fall.
