Last week seniors and their families received a notification asking for both senior photos and baby photos as preparations are underway for graduation and yearbook to honor the Class of 2025. Three students in Publications are taking photos for seniors who haven’t had an opportunity to have ones taken yet. This is a wonderful chance for our student photographers to improve their skills behind the lens, while giving seniors countless options. Donations are appreciated, but the cost of the photos is free. This event will run on February 10th through the 25th.
Being in Publications for three years, junior Julia Stevens has a lot of experience under her belt. Stevens strives to make sure that her subjects are comfortable with the posing and listening to their needs and wants. She also takes initiative to make a board with poses that fit the vibe that her subject is going for. Stevens shares what makes her the photographer for you: “There is no judgement in the type of photos you want taken. I want people to know that I put a lot of effort into taking the best photos possible.” If you are interested in having your photos taken by Stevens, you can contact her by email: [email protected].
Only being in Publications for a year and a half, junior Connor Stevens knows his way around a camera. Stevens does a great job at making his subjects feel welcomed and comfortable. He does this by, “talking to them like we are hanging out.” Before his subject and he start, he always asks what they would like to do. Stevens explains why you should pick him: “I strive to do my best for people that want their pictures taken… I can make your pictures come out great whether it comes to editing or raw photos.” If you are interested in having Stevens as your photographer, his email is [email protected].
Lucy Otto, who started Publications her freshman year and is now a sophomore, has a knack for making sure her subjects get what they want. Lucy does a great job of listening to her subject’s wishes and making sure that it can happen. Before she starts she always assures what her subject asks for and that they are comfortable. Otto talks about why she is a good fit to have as a photographer: “I make sure that my subjects are comfortable and are having fun. I work hard to make sure that my subjects get their needs and wants during the photoshoot. I want them to have great pictures to look back on from their senior year.” If you are considering Otto as your photographer, you can reach out to her by email at [email protected].
